This gem of all gems is our final piece leading up to the release of SW-ROTS DVD tomorrow. That glorious piece of crap released on November 17th, 1978--
No one will ever know who was going on inside George Lucas's brain when he gave the green light to this one as even the cash was not worth this forever headache. The basic premise of this god awful piece o' crap is Chewbacca's family and the Life Day Celebration which should stop you dead in your tracks. However, their are so many aspects of this that are bad from the acting to the writing to the effects but one area stands out in paticular and that is the casting. Let me run a few samples by you:
- Art Carney
- Harvey Korman
- Jefferson Starship
- Bea Arthur
Obviously none of these four names should ever appear in a Star Wars related movie let alone any movie together as I am sure this is the seventh sign. So the next time you fair weather fans want to bash Jar Jar just remember that it could have, and has been worse with no other than Bea Arthur.
