This photo is from the 1st hour of what ended up being a 9 1/2 hour game of of Axis & Allies on my recent weekend trip with the fellas. In the end the Axis (I was Japan, Germany was handled by the Kraut in the red shirt) was victorious and we are still working on the rest of our world domination plan. Good times for all as long as you are rooting for evil.

Please pardon my ignorance. Is "Axis & Allies" similar to the game "Risk"?
I apologize again if this question is as foolish as I fear it might be.
It is not foolish as this was my first time playing A&A but it is not too similar. It is much more detailed and takes a considerable amount of strategy (Of course luck helps) and requires a good amount of teamwork.
A very good way to wasate 8-10 drunken hours.
Thanks for the info. Alas, I've never been much of a "team player" when I'm drinking/drunk. In fact, since my college days ended, I've been more likely to drink alone ("yeah, with nobody else") than in the company of others.
