"You Have No Idea How Powerful The Dark Side Can Be"

My descent or ascent, two sides to everything, continues as I have now flown United Airlines for the first time after 10 glorious years of strict dedication to American Airlines. Bottom line is that United is less expensive and that is all that matters when working at a tighter (not that harder to be tighter than the last one) controlled company as I could care less as long as I can get a paycheck on a regular basis and feed my family.

Initial Thoughts As They Popped Up (Written from the plane)--

--Pretty decent terminal with a good check-in and baggage handling process. Much smoother than AA and it seems that United won the coin toss when it came to the TSA agents.
--Jesus this is a long fucking walk to my gate. Am I walking to another airport? The neon lights are also pissing me off.
--I have no status and this sucks. Boarding group 87 here I come.
--I was excited to get some Airbus love in, but this time I am on a 777 and have no complaints. No one is on this thing which might explain the whole bankruptcy thing. For what I paid, $240.00, I could care less.
--NO COKE PRODUCTS. Major setback as Pepsi clearly sucks and even the United Airlines flight attendant says so.
--Check that, she is not a flight attendant but a "Personal Security Assistant"? What about stewardess I want to ask but think twice.

On to the nitty-gritty as a 4 hour flight requires a little snack so I looked at the four “Snackpacks” choices United offers (Page 129 of Hemispheres) called Smartpack, Quickpick, Minimeal and Nightbite. I bought Quickpick & Rightbite ($5.00 each) for my associate and I to share and here is my rundown--

Rightbite—
Organic Crackers - AKA Ritz Crackers
Pita Chips - Each one is quite large in size and pretty good
Hummus Dip - Pretty good and at least a unique option as opposed to potato chips and dip
Raisins - Mini, and I mean mini box with about 15 raisins
Gouda Cheese - This might have been flavored wax
Lemon Pepper Bumblebee Seasoned Tuna - I wanted to try everything but not in the mood for this one today
Toblerone - Very tiny, about 40mm in length but still an ok sweet to add in the mix

Quickpick--
Tortilla Chips - Ok
Salsa - Sorry I skipped this as I am not a salsa guy
Chocolate Chip Cookie - My partner ate this and said nothing
Trail Mix - See above
Cheese Snack called “Just the Cheese” - "Just really fucking bad"
Jack Links Niblets - Decent, but why not just stick with plain ole' jerky instead

I will have to get the other two on the next flight but currently the Rightbite wins on the hummus factor alone.

Overall I think I can get into United as it is not as bad as I had projected it to be. However, I do want to reserve the right to blast it over and over again especially over this Pepsi product bullshit (nice photo you have to admit).
