Today Mr. Bob came out and said the following to the citizens of a PA town regarding an election in which all members of the school board were voted out due to their attempting to introduce the "Intelligent Design" theory into the school district:
- "I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: if there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected Him from your city"
- "God is tolerant and loving, but we can't keep sticking our finger in His eye forever.
- If they have future problems in Dover, I recommend they call on Charles Darwin, maybe he can help them."
- "The state department should be blown up with a nuclear device."
- "This type of feminism has aided and encouraged women to kill thier children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians."
You have to love when a minister goes out of his way to spread such an uplifting message to everyone. It is really great that Jesus gave Pat a private lesson about forgiveness, love and Christiananity.
On a similar (and just as crazy) front the 700 Club web site is really at it's peak recently with this story leading up to this same PA school board issue. My favorite part is the last line where Jed Macosko, a biophysical chemist (I love the name Jed and his job line together) wonders "why science should be tied to Charles Darwin's 150-year- old theory, rather than the latest findings on intelligent design."
I believe the answer is because Darwin is actually science and your "latest findings" are located in the top drawer of every hotel in the world you horses' ass.
