Tippy, Toppy Secret

I could go on forever regarding the recent disclosures on the NSA wire taps both positively and negatively as I am no hawk nor dove. However, I like these two gems in particular out of the current headlines-
  • President Bush had harsh words for those who talked about the top secret program to the media, saying their actions were illegal and improper, "As a result, our enemies have learned information they should not have," he said. "The unauthorized disclosure of this effort damages our national security and puts our citizens at risk."

How many terrorist cells in the country did not expect this move Cobra Commander? Does anyone honestly believe that we just started doing this after 9/11? Again, currently I am not critiquing this style of information gathering but does our Commander In Chief honestly believe that any terrorists did not see this coming and are talking about the next plot over their land line in Madison, WI?

  • After the President defended the NSA program, Sen. Russell Feingold, D-Wis. said it was "breathtaking in how extreme they were" regarding the President's comments. He also said it was "absurd" that Bush said he relied on his inherent power as president to authorize the wiretaps. "If that's true, he doesn't need the Patriot Act because he can just make it up as he goes along. I tell you, he's President George Bush, not King George Bush. This is not the system of government we have and that we fought for."

So the Democrats have just figured out that GW believes God appointed him with this position? What the hell took them so long when most of us knew this about 7 years ago. I tell you, leave it to the current Democrats to look even more clueless than GW. Maybe we should have exposed the "God-Complex" a few years ago when their was an election at stake and before he had a chance to start 2 wars, appoint 2 Justices, begin a full scale torture program and piss of 98.3% of the rest of the world. Just a thought.
